Hoy se ha dado el inicio oficial al Proyecto Libertad!
En el Centro Penitenciario Matagalpa, ubicado en Waswalí, se llevó a cabo hoy el primer taller de teatro con el grupo de internos menores de edad. Todos los veintisiete internos estuvieron presentes y al fin del taller quatorce de ellos decidieron involucrarse activamente en la formación de un grupo de teatro en el sistema.
El objetivo de la primera fase de Proyecto Libertad es la creación de grupos de teatro en las sistemas penitenciarias de Nicaragua, llevando a cabo un proceso en la cual la creación de libertad dentro de la carcel es lo más importante. El acuerdo es que ni ellos nos haran daño ni nos utilizaran, ni nosotros les haremos daño, ni los utilizaremos. Tras el compartir de las historias de cada uno del grupo, se creará, como uno de los resultados visibles, una obra de teatro en que el trabajo emocional y corporal son centrales para los actores. Hoy se realizó el primer taller de entrenamiento actoral. Los talleres seran semanales por ahora, y se realizarán cada miércoles a partir de las 9AM. Pronto les informamos el calendario de talleres.
Al fin del primer taller se nos acercó un joven de 23 años que no participó en el taller pero que si lo vió y que habia visto la presentación de Muerte Arriba este febrero. El se entusiasmó y nos preguntó si será posible formar un grupo de teatro para los mayores de edad a partir de junio - nosotros por supuesto encantado! Para hablar de esa posibilidad tenemos una cita mañana con William Trujillo, el encargado de nuestras actividades. Bueno

Proyecto Libertad has oficially kicked off today!
Today the first encounter with the minors deprived of liberty took place and the first theatre group of adolescents created in the penitentiary system of Matagalpa, located in Waswalí.
All twentyseven minors were present at the introductory workshop and fourteen of them decided to participate actively to form a theatre group. The objective of the first phase of Proyecto Libertad is the creation of theatre groups in the penitentiary systems of Nicaragua to start a process in which the creation of liberties in prison is the most important. The agreement is that we won´t do them wrong in any way, or make use of them, nor will they do us wrong or use us in any way. Sharing the stories of each group member, we together create, as one of the visible results of the process, a theatre play in which the emotional and physical efforts of the actors is central. Today we realized the first workshop of actoral training. The workshops will be weekly on Wednesdays from 9AM onwards.

A 23 year old was also present at the workshop and told us that among his age group there is a group interested in participating too, which may lead to the creation of a theatre group of adults! Tomorrow we see William Trujillo, the officer in charge of our activities in the prison, and will discuss this possibility with him, just as the possibility of two encounters per week with the minors.
